Your legal position
Do I stay responsible?
Yes. You are the operator on your permit and you stay legally responsible for your records. We enter what you send us and keep to the deadline. Your agreement lets us send each record for you, and any mistake of ours is fixed free.
Is Chitly connected to Defra?
Defra has given Chitly access to its live waste tracking service. We are a team based in England and Scotland, and we are not part of Defra or any regulator.
Do you cover hazardous waste or Northern Ireland?
No.
Your app and tickets
Which systems?
Tippa, another app, or paper and spreadsheets. Already on an app? We work inside it with our own login. On paper? We set you up on a free app first (setup from £199).
Do you need my password?
No. We use our own named login, never your password.
What if a photo is bad?
We tell you the same day and ask for a better one.
What if I have no weighbridge?
Fine. Defra lets you record an estimated weight, marked as an estimate. At setup we help you build a simple estimate sheet.
Do you have your own app?

Money
Can I stop?
Yes. 30 days' notice.
What if it isn't for me?
First paid month refunded, setup not refunded. Subject to our written agreement.
Not happy after your first month? Tell us and we refund that month's Chitly fee. Subject to our written agreement.
